Peter Graphos, Managing Director

Prior to joining AMERICAN Financial Search as Managing Director, Mr. Graphos was an executive with a top-tier regional financial services institution. Having been continuously engaged in the financial services industry for over twelve years, his experience covers various areas of the industry, with his specialty being in the Wealth Management arena. He has worked closely with executives in the financial services industry over the years and is actively involved in the business community. Mr. Graphos is a graduate of the University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Commerce and Business Administration with a major in Finance and Investment Management. In addition, he holds multiple NASD Securities Licenses.

Richard G. Brock, Managing Principal

Before starting AMERICAN Financial Search, Mr. Brock founded three other executive search firms, and has grown each of them to profitability and long term success. A former practicing attorney, Mr. Brock began his career in the search industry as an attorney recruiter, and he quickly developed one of the most successful attorney search practices in the United States. After several years, he formed his own legal recruiting firm which grew rapidly into a national operation with offices across the United States. From there, Mr. Brock launched two other search firms, one for insurance executives and one for administrative personnel, both of which have grown rapidly and remained highly profitable. Mr. Brock is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and the University of Alabama School of Law. He has received numerous awards as a successful entrepreneur and business leader.

Joseph D. Freedman, Managing Principal

Prior to launching AMERICAN, Mr. Freedman founded AMICUS Legal Staffing, Inc. In less than four years, he and his team built AMICUS from a start-up company to one of the largest, privately held legal search firms in the United States, which he then sold to a NYSE company in 1997. Under Mr. Freedman's direction, AMICUS received numerous awards for exceptional growth and was ranked 99th on Inc. Magazine's 500 fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States. Mr. Freedman has spent more than a decade in the search industry and is a recognized leader in the recruiting field. He is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience advising, consulting and working with service companies. Prior to entering the search industry, Mr. Freedman earned a Juris Doctorate degree and a B.S. in Finance. Mr. Freedman has launched multi-disciplined search firms including insurance, mortgage and administrative personnel.
